Privacy Policy

What we collect when you contact us or request a quote, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Last updated August 27, 2026

This policy describes how Timothy K Garrett Agency ("we", "us") handles information collected through this website. It applies to this website only, not to information you provide directly to an insurance carrier or to third-party sites we link to.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. Name, business name, email address, phone number, industry, coverage interests, renewal date, and anything you type into a message field on a quote, contact, or landing-page form.
  • Consent records. When you check a consent box, we store the exact consent language shown to you, the date and time you submitted it, the page you submitted it from, and your browser's user-agent string.
  • Technical information. Standard web server information such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the site working.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, payment card numbers, or health information through this website. Please do not submit them here.

How we use it

  • To respond to your question and prepare quotes or proposals you requested.
  • To service policies, issue certificates, and handle renewals.
  • To contact you by phone, text, or email when you have consented to that contact.
  • To meet insurance recordkeeping, licensing, and other legal obligations.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse of this website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Insurance carriers and wholesalers we approach on your behalf, so they can quote and underwrite your risk.
  • Service providers that host this website, store our records, or send our email, under contracts limiting their use of the information.
  • Regulators, auditors, or law enforcement where required by law or to protect legal rights.

Text messages

If you consented to text messages, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not remove you from email or phone contact; tell us if you want those stopped as well.

Retention and security

We keep submission and consent records for as long as needed to service your account and to satisfy insurance recordkeeping and legal-hold requirements, then delete or de-identify them. Data is stored in access-controlled systems; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through the website forms.

Your Colorado privacy rights

Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to confirm whether we process your personal data and access it, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain profiling. You may also appeal a decision we make about your request.

To exercise a right, email privacy@garrettagency.com or call (719) 000-0000. We will verify your identity before acting and will respond within the time the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

Information you give us to obtain insurance may also be subject to insurance-specific privacy laws, and some records must be retained even after a deletion request.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to serve pages and keep the site secure. If we add analytics or advertising tools later, this policy will be updated before they run.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the date at the top reflects the current version. Questions? Contact the agency or email privacy@garrettagency.com.
